Offshore platforms experience oscillations due to wind, waves, and other environmental factors. Similarly, during operations such as jacking systems, offshore wind‑farm installations, ship positioning, and the stabilization of large equipment, uneven external forces or non‑uniform load resistance, along with inconsistencies in mechanical transmission accuracy, can necessitate leveling. By employing accumulators to buffer, absorb, and release pressure fluctuations, pressure imbalances can be mitigated; further, real‑time servo‑controlled flow feedback enables highly precise leveling performance.
The leveling system employs either an active leveling mechanism, a passive leveling mechanism, or a combination of both. When the load requiring leveling is substantial, an accumulator‑based power‑supply unit is typically used; and when high system reliability is required, piston‑type accumulators are generally selected. To reduce costs, the system comprises accumulators together with multiple sets of standby fixed‑type pressure vessels.
