Use our online accumulator volume sizing calculator to determine optimal capacity.
Open Volume Calculator →Accumulators, particularly accumulator systems, are required to deliver extremely high‑rate, instantaneous hydraulic flows when serving as power sources or providing auxiliary flow functions. However, measuring and controlling such transient ultra‑large flows is highly challenging. To address this, SCHWERLL has developed an integrated liquid‑side pressure‑line system with large‑diameter conduits, enabling precise control and distribution of high‑flow rates on the accumulator system’s liquid side.

Accumulators, particularly accumulator systems, are required to deliver extremely high‑rate, instantaneous hydraulic flows when serving as power sources or providing auxiliary flow‑control functions. However, measuring and controlling such transient ultra‑large flows is highly challenging. SCHWERLL addresses this by employing an integrated high‑flow liquid‑side pressure‑line system that enables precise control and distribution of large hydraulic flows within the accumulator circuit. Its operational characteristics and capabilities include:
1. Fabrication of welded and extruded large-diameter pressure‑bearing metal pipelines, manufactured in full compliance with fluid‑pressure codes and standards; steel pipe diameters up to DN1500 mm, with maximum pressures reaching 80 MPa.
2. Employing clean hydraulic pipeline forming technology, and performing degreasing, pickling, and drying before and after nondestructive testing, post-weld heat treatment, and extrusion forming, we can provide ultrasonic inspection reports as required, including RT and phased-array inspections.
3. The accompanying spigot‑flange assembly employs a multi‑stage, independent hard‑seal system, enabling spigot‑flange connections for large‑diameter pipelines. Compared with conventional high‑pressure flanges of the same size, it offers significantly greater ease of maintenance and installation.
4. The SCHWERLL hydraulic piping system can achieve precise multi-channel (6‑channel or 8‑channel) flow distribution via flow‑dividing valves and circuit‑servo proportional valves, maintaining consistent long-term accuracy—outperforming conventional flow‑motor‑based distribution technology.
5. The SCHWERLL hydraulic piping system enables precise flow control for high‑flow draining in accumulator systems, supporting constant‑flow output and measurement, constant‑velocity flow output and measurement, and constant‑acceleration flow output and measurement. It is suitable for applications such as large‑scale precision seismic testing, precision pulse testing, precise flow distribution, and high‑speed controllable metal forming processes.
