Auxiliary Quick-Intervention Accumulator System for Subsea Blowout Preventers (BOPs):

Subsea blowout preventers (BOPs) are installed on the seabed, with their upper end connected to the riser system and their lower end linked to the subsea wellhead or subsea tree. They constitute the most critical well-control equipment in deepwater drilling operations. The mainstream subsea BOPs used internationally operate at a working pressure of 15,000 psi (103.5 MPa), with maximum operating pressures reaching up to 20,000 psi (153.5 MPa), and can accommodate water depths exceeding 3,000 meters. A typical subsea BOP system comprises a lower riser manifold assembly (LMRP), a lower BOP stack (LBOP), and a control system.

The auxiliary high-pressure piston accumulator system enables ROV (remotely operated vehicle) intervention systems to meet the regulatory requirement of a minimum shut‑down time of 45 seconds at the maximum allowable pressure. As requirements for controlling secondary blowout preventer stacks become increasingly stringent, users can rely on our proven, code‑compliant ROV intervention approach, employing the SCHWERLL auxiliary rapid‑intervention accumulator system.
